Dallas News Updates and Classes

There are so many things going on in Dallas but crazy things are happening in the Business Journal.  I love this Dallas Business News.  Keeps me up to speed with so many things going on in Good Ol' Dallas.

The BBB has a pretty cool website and surfing thru the website is not that bad.  There are many tools that you can utilize in the BBB in Dallas

This is an interesting article that I came across today.
"General Datatech to double Dallas corporate campus"

Dallas-based data communications equipment provider General Datatech LP moved into its 100,000-square-foot corporate headquarters off Stemmons Freeway.  We are thriving here in good ol' Texas.  Here is the link to this article on this great business story.

An Adwords class is also being provided for anyone that is interested.  Dallas is full of great news an education.  AdWords, of course, is Google's pay-per-click advertising program. Some would call it Google's pay-to-play system. You identify your target keywords, and then bid on AdWords to pay for a click from Google to your website. Many small business marketers use AdWords, but not all are savvy at the secrets, tips and tricks that can make or break and AdWords campaign. ROI (return on investment) can really vary.

Free AdWords Tutorial - Learn All You Can About Google AdWords

AdWords. You either love it, or you hate it. But you can't live without it. Well almost always you can't live with out. AdWords can be pretty darn confusing. What's a match type? What a phrase match vs. an exact match? What is the "Display Network." Now I have called Google AdWords tech support and not been overly impressed. They seem very good at getting all your money but not so good about helping you on ROI: Return on Investment.

AdWords Tutorial
So I am pretty excited to announce a new, free AdWords Tutorial.  This new tutorial from the folks at the JM Internet Group goes over the so-called four AdWords gotchas, namely:

  1. Keyword Match Types - Gotcha No. 1: bad match types.
  2. The Display Network - Gotcha No. 2: running on bad display network placements.
  3. Enhanced Campaigns -Gotcha No. 3: running on mobile by mistake.
  4. AdWords vs. SEO - Gotcha No. 4: missing out on free SEO opportunities.

The AdWords Display Network: Ouch!

Wow!  Did you know there were four of them hiding in AdWords? I personally have been burned by the Display Network on Google AdWords.  You think you are running just on Google, or maybe also on AOL too but actually you are running on all sorts of crazy blogs, parked domains, and other weird sites - sometimes even sexually suggestive (!) or other types of bizarre content. Not the best for your brand, and not the best for your ROI.

So check out the new AdWords Tutorial.  It is more than just an AdWords guide, it is also a PDF free eBook on AdWords.  AdWords for beginners is what I call it.
